Yeah, each new bubble of spacetime emerges from the singularity and expands. I'm totally open-minded about what lies outside each new spacetime bubble. Or the relationship between all the universes, in their individual spacetime bubbles, generally. (The relationship between rates of time between different universes for instance: I have no idea.) So, yes, overall, I just don't have a theory yet. Very open to suggestions! For simplicity's sake, for now, I am assuming no causal contact between universes, once they are born, but that's just a simplifying assumption. Would love to hear your ideas on this.

In particular, galaxies have been spotted that were highly developed and very old, aligning with the idea you wrote here, that galaxy formation happens most rapidly at the very beginning of the formation of a universe.
I have been thinking about the workings of the universe lately, and one thing that I found after thinking about it for quite some time, is that our reality has an interesting property where things (lets call them entities) that come together somehow end up being greater than the sum of their parts: emergence. But this emergence really comes from these entities within expressing themselves, i.e. bring what is within them to the outside somehow, across the boundary that defines what is the "self" and what is the "world" for that entity, be that raw energy from fundamental physical laws among particles, or a more human form of expression. This interaction then creates another more complex form of expression that a larger entity consisting of smaller ones can pass further up the chain of whatever entity it is part of; you get this recursive effect. If the component entities of some larger entity fail to self-express, then it will seem as if the larger and more complex entity has died - it stops moving or developing coherently as it did, a link in the chain is broken. Perhaps this is part of what is slowly causing society to deteriorate. I suppose this idea corresponds to the idea of that "flow of energy" you quoted, which lies at the very basis of this emergence chain.
Of course, the less complex entities observe the world and larger entity they are part of ( which is part of the world for them) around them and adapt as well, creating some kind of synergy, so it is a bidirectional relationship in that manner. So you've got perception - processing within what is observed without, and you've got self-expression - putting without what has been produced within, as a result of perception and existing behavior or laws encoded by sub-entities. Feedback, and flow of energy.
Now connecting this idea, it seems that this self-expression, or meta-law of emergence, is how information is transferred between entities from lower levels to higher levels, and it is fundamentally what allows a more complex entity to evolve through the contributions of its sub-entities. You see this with societies and people as well. It's why an abandoned city feels dead, like the shell of a society. Remove self-expression of the entities within, and evolution stops in the more complex entity hosting them.
These black holes are peculiar in the sense that this balance between perception and self-expression seems out of whack - as entities, they seem to destructively absorb all information they can get their "hands" on; they are maximally perceptive but they do not self-express by their very definition - nothing that is inside can ever come out. Therefore, they can only form something more complex if they are paired with entities that compensate for this lack of self-expression, which perhaps explains how there is a massive black hole at the center of our galaxy; it massively incentivizes the production of more information and complexity by creating such a focal point that needs sufficient counter-weight. Black holes almost seem like the sinks of the universe, collecting and encoding the information provided by it and using that to evolve the next set of universes. In a sense, they quite literally are the end stations of the universe, the final entities, where information leaves the system to somewhere else, the grim reapers that come to reap what has been sown for the generations to come. At the same time, one particular black hole was then the source, so they are both the beginning and the end.
I suppose questions remains as to how these black holes then make sense of this information that they absorb. How does it transfer into an evolutionary change within the universe that they host? Does that universe have different parameters for its base laws? Does it have new physical laws at the lowest levels? New particles? What is being optimized, i.e. what determines the "fitness" of a universe? And what is the purpose of letting a universe cool down for such a long time when new ones are being formed immediately at the beginning, i.e. what role do complex but relatively tiny organisms like us play? And would there be a way to transfer information back and forth should we ever get in proximity with one, even though they allegedly cannot self-express? In addition, black holes (very) slowly dissipate over time, would that imply that our universe will also undergo the same fate and shrink as a result of its hosting black hole losing matter? What does that imply for the universe, that hosts a universe, that hosts a universe, etc? And what does expansion and the ingestion of more information from the outside imply, is it that the most interesting and latest developments happen at the very edge of the universe which we cannot even see? What is even the "edge"? It's interesting for sure, we live in exciting times to know so much to be able to ponder these things.
Anyway, sorry for the wall of text, I felt inspired and wanted to share my ramblings to perhaps inspire you too. I enjoyed the article, and some of your other writings. Many of your ideas of how there seems to be a disconnect between art and development (corporate, science) do resonate tremendously, I think you're onto something very important here, especially these days.
