Great, will do!

Yeah, I'd welcome that. Obviously it'd be great if communal feedback on your notes'n'quotes results in a better, denser, more streamlined book (or at least a more efficient process) but on a more superficial level getting to peek into someone's notebooks and thoughts is always inspiring and refreshing.

Hope you've a great time in Ireland.

OK, thanks Robert, this is all good to hear!

Yes, absolutely go for it. Just "forget" that we're here while writing or you'll get lost in wanting to explain it all - although I do love that. I heard you speak in a podcast and I love how well you translate your energy to written form. However, have you considered doing audios on "Quotes & Notes"? My idea is you first write the thing, then re-read it for the audio version and while reading you may add additional "notes" to it. Would provide you with an iteration and us with an extra - then I could share your stuff with the people I know would love it but prefer audio over letters.

Thanks, this is very reassuring. I will go for it...

Audio, yes, I have thought about this, but not gotten around to it. I might try it as an experiment, and see how it goes... I know a lot of people prefer audio (and I'm a fan myself), so I would like to try this. (Main roadblock: I would have to overcome my perfectionism; like most people, I'm not crazy about listening to my own voice, and you can easily faff around forever trying to perfect a recording...)

But yes, thanks for the feedback; I'll see what I can do...

The lovely thing about substack's audio recording feature: no editing possible ^^

You don't have to listen to it, just send it out. It's the antidote to being "1984", editing news all the time hehehe. It might make you slower, deciding what shall come out as a comment and what has to stay inside as a mere thought. There is a German song "Die Gedanken sind frei" - thoughts are free, nobody can hunt them.

Love this, will read. Probably more readily than I read the long ones, given the lower commitment. Yours is some of my favorite writing to read rn.

It's a yes to quotes and notes.

I see you refining your outreach to readers and I think ... He's evolving.

Loved these. How do you use Roam?

Yes, I’d welcome that. For example, it’s one thing to read the Crick quote, but quite another to get your enthusiastic take on it, which made me go « Wow! »

Happy to have more egg and rock chunks

Yes for me too. That’s all likely to be thought provoking in many different ways.
